The technology

A new watergate with a chamber length of 115 meters, 12 meters chamber width and 2,5 meters depth was realized as part of the traffic project German Unit in Berlin Charlottenburg. The main sub is equipped with hydraulic stemming gates with integrated contactors. The head has a modern turn segment gate. Both heads are protected by a rope shock protection system.
The watergate operation is done fully automatic from the central control panel.
