Saxon Entrepreneur Award 2019

76 companies applied for the Saxon Entrepreneur Award 2019 by 8 February or were nominated by third parties. 57 were shortlisted, including AVI GmbH, based in Hoyerswerda.

The managing directors Frank Seifert and Mirko Wittek have led the company for 25 years with passion and new creative ideas in the field of automation and software solutions. Despite all its successes, AVI GmbH remains a down-to-earth company from Lusatia, which shapes the region with both social and entrepreneurial actions. The promotion of young talent and the development of new structures in Lusatia are particularly important to the management. Especially for Frank Seifert, his commitment is an essential part of his corporate responsibility. As a lecturer in automation technology at the BA Bautzen, it is a matter close to his heart for him to bring his knowledge coupled with a breath of fresh air closer to the young students.

Regardless of whether AVI wins the prize, we are proud to be nominated and will keep our fingers crossed. The top 5 entrepreneurs will be honoured at the award ceremony on 10 of May in the Transparent Factory of VW in Dresden.
