Digitization in production: Leadec strengthened to deal with the AVI GmbH
Automation and industrial IT are the focal points of AVI GmbH, which took over Leadec on November 1st, 2020. With this acquisition Leadec further expands the Automation & Engineering division to offer its customers solutions for the control and integration of production processes from a single source and to accompany them on their way to Industry 4.0.
“Making today’s factory fit for tomorrow’s production: digitized, networked and economical – this is the challenge facing many companies in the manufacturing industry. At the same time, the Internet of Things (IoT) is continuously increasing the data volume of modern industrial plants and companies need smart solutions to make this data usable. With AVI GmbH, we are therefore strengthening our position in a very important area for the future,” says Dr. Achim Agostini, Executive President of the Automation & Engineering Division at Leadec.
“For more than 25 years, we at AVI have concentrated on “automation full of ideas”, have regional roots and are active worldwide. Both our services and the corporate culture are an excellent fit with Leadec. As part of a global group, we can use our combined expertise to support our customers even better in digitizing their production processes and making them more economical,” agree AVI Managing Directors Mirko Wittek and Frank Seifert.
“Leadec offers its customers a holistic concept for digitization over the entire life cycle in the factory. With the acquisition of AVI GmbH, we are consistently pursuing our growth strategy in the Automation & Engineering Division and are expanding our expertise in all aspects of Industry 4.0,” adds Markus Glaser-Gallion, CEO of the Leadec Group.
